For the Love of Art: Christopher Albert

Genesis 18 by Christopher AlbertYamet Arts is pleased to include Christopher Albert in the upcoming For the Love of Art exhibit. Albert has exhibited extensively in the Hudson Valley area and in and around Denver, Colorado. He creates abstract works in a variety of media - painting, drawing and sculpture.

Among other projects Albert is the director of Kork, a bulletin board exhibit space above the photo copier in a CPA's office in Poughkeepsie. Exhibits rotate bi-monthly and encourage artists to explore the nature of work in a non-art context.

The Genesis paintings are painted on pages from the adult magazine Genesis. The original images in the photo essays have been obscured with paint leaving in many, the accompanying narrative text as a portion of absurd poetry.
