Artist's Statement: My recent artworks combine painting and drawing with photographic and digital images, expanding traditional 2-D formats into installations.  Working intuitively and through association, I print, paint, and draw onto a variety of supports, creating a layering of images, textures and media.  The content has focused on issues of aging, temporality and memory -- I’m interested in exploring these as a means for expressing subjectivity as contingent, pluralistic, and emerging through time.

I would like to thank the Oregon College of Art and Craft Summer Residency Program (Portland, OR) and Margie Neuhaus.

The Hat Factory was a great space in which to show this piece and I appreciate having been asked to participate in the show. I am happy that I had the opportunity to share my work with so many people who had not previously been aware of it.
