Originally displayed at Galerie Baden in 1959, it is a village landscape in a beautiful collection of earth tones orange, yellow and browns.
I'm regretful that I missed your display.

Mark

Comment on Economic Downturn Brings Creativity

Another great mention for us both. All thanks to Maxwell for organizing visits around town for the writer. It's true too. We are all working together, cooperating more and more to keep the creativity flowing.
Jo-Ann

Comment on Economic Downturn Brings Creativity

Glad to see your mention in the NY Times. The good thinking that involves combined efforts to show art should be applauded. The space at the Hat Factory is great as it can accomodate large shows and large concepts. I would be happy to be part of any future exhibitions.

Comment on For the Love of Art Exhibition A Smashing Success

It has been almost 6 months since our wonderful show with Yamet Art at the beautiful Hat factory. What a great experience! The art lovers in Peekskill came out in droves and supported this event that was supported by the generous people at Yamet. Lets do it again!

Comment on Love Exhibit Artists: Gretchen Kelly, Donna Sharrett, Mimi Graminski and Scott Goodman

hi,
your photo collection is really amazing. Thanks for sharing.

Comment on More Love: Dina Bursztyn, Alec Spangler, Bruce RIchards & Rosalind Schneider

Video as Painting
My video work expands the boundaries of ones perceived vision of nature. Although the images are site specific and relate to the time collected, they must also speak to a greater sense of place and I gravitate to sites that carry a primeval power untouched by civilization. The flow of imagery progressing from the real into abstraction and a fusion of the two is the basis for the work. I am interested in making the shift into reality both present and illusive through layered transparency and reordered time. My visual language has developed over years of producing a large body of work that includes experimental film, installation, painting and photography. The elements of each have contributed to video as painting.

Comment on Camilo Rojas' Photography to be Exhibit at For the Love of Art

I love Camillo's movies- they are both thought provoking and surreal. It was such an honor to be asked to bring in personal favorite artists from Dutchess and Ulster counties... For the first time my critical mind shifted from the philosophical abundance of great art to the championing of an elite few. I love the way Rick, Ben and JoAnne had confidence in the curators... supported our diverse choices and launched that incredible party for the artists and hundreds of Hudson Valley art enthusiasts. The show fell together nicely. But there is so much more art to show. I presume it will be an annual event? Semi annual? What is the thought on that?
